Boston Celtics: 3 players whose development will be most disrupted
Tacko Fall
The undrafted, long-term project Tacko Fall will undoubtedly face halted development with the suspension of the 2019-20 season. Worse so for Fall is the end of the G-League season, where he was dominating for the Maine Red Claws.
My co-editor Mark Nilon put his season in perspective for the Red Claws:
"In 29 appearances with the Red Claws, Tacko Fall proved to be an absolute menace on both ends of the floor. Averaging 12.9 points, 11.3 rebounds and 3.1 blocks a game on 75 percent shooting, Fall helped lead the team to a record of 28-14 (fourth best in the league) while helping them rank tenth in offensive rating (115.4) and seventh in defensive rating (110.7)."
With no G-League, and the status of his days of service for his two-way deal up in the air, Fall’s growth (as a player of course) will be severely stunted. On a 7-foot-5 frame, any time away from the sport will give his body less of a fighting chance to hold up.
Who knows if he can regain his form since his next game may not happen for months past the even the eventual return of the NBA.
