With the days dwindling down on the 2019-20 regular season, we take a look at the 3 most important matchups still remaining on the Boston Celtics’ schedule.

To this point, the 2019-20 regular season has been quite kind to the Boston Celtics from a success perspective. Currently, they stand pat in the Eastern Conference’s third seed with a record of 40-17 (fourth best in the entire association).

They sent two of their players to this year’s NBA All-Star game (Kemba Walker and Jayson Tatum) and have taken down some pretty stout competition including the likes of the Los Angeles Clippers, Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks, just to name a few.

With just under two months remaining in the regular season, the Celtics are now shifting from regular season mode to more of a playoff push mentality — as made evident by the postseason atmosphere and level of play during Sunday’s outing against LeBron James and the Lakers.

Though the brunt of the season is gone, this final stretch-run could prove to be just as challenging as the first half. Of their remaining 25 games, 11 of them are against virtual playoff locks and eight are against teams still vying for a shot at a postseason berth.

For Boston, a sixth straight playoff appearance seems inevitable — barring any unforeseen collapse. The only questions that remain for the team as the season rushes to a close: what seed will they end up with, who might their first-round opponent be and can this team be considered as legitimate title contenders?

With this in mind, here are the 3 most important matchups still remaining on the Boston Celtics’ schedule.
