The Boston Celtics return to action tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Here are 3 keys to victory for our beloved shamrocks squad.

Though it’s only been a little over a week since we last saw the Boston Celtics play a game, for fans that bleed green its felt like an eternity.

In what some have deemed the game of the year, Boston wound up besting legitimate title contender the Los Angeles Clippers in double-overtime by a final score of 141-133. Because of this, the team went into the All-Star break winning an impressive 11 of their previous 13.

With this, to say they went into the illustrious weekend with momentum on their side would be quite an understatement.

Now, in their return to action the Celtics will be squaring off against the recently revamped Minnesota Timberwolves. Despite the fact that they’ve had one of the best young players in the association in Karl-Anthony Towns on their roster, the Wolves have underwhelmed significantly, accumulating a record of only 16-37 which places them at the 14th seed (second to last) in the Western Conference.

However, prior to the deadline the franchise made a splashy move that sent uber talented point-guard D’Angelo Russell to Minneapolis to form a nice one-two punch for, presumedly, years to come.

And while this dynamic-duo has the potential to prove successful in the long run, the Celtics will have to wait to feel their theoretical “wrath”, for Towns is out “indefinitely” with a wrist injury and, thus, will miss tonight’s game.

Still, though it lessens the fire power the Wolves will have at their disposal, it does not mean that a victory is a sure-fire thing for Boston. If they want to continue their winning ways into this final stretch of the season, they must adhere to these 3 keys.
