Spencer Dinwiddie

I discussed acquiring Spencer Dinwiddie at length this past November after he led the Nets to a Black Friday victory over the Boston Celtics. In essence, I believe that his talents could be best utilized on a team more willing to give him the ball…and a chance at starting:

"…Dinwiddie has put in the time and the production to earn starting duties no matter who shares the court with him. Unfortunately, Irving–and eventually Kevin Durant–will be taking the ball out of his hands when they return from injury."

Given Dinwiddie’s accomplishments in the past several years when the Nets’ starting point guard spot has opened up, it only seems right for him to be fully unleashed. Obviously, the C’s starting point guard spot is Kemba Walker‘s, but given his success alongside Jeremy Lin in his Charlotte Hornets days, it seems like he can coexist with Dinwiddie in an equal opportunity offense:

"…his fit next to Walker–who has proven to be able to defer to his teammates swimmingly in Boston–would be Damian Lillard-CJ McCullom-esque. The Celtics will hopefully get a chance to show Dinwiddie what it’s like to thrive without being in Irving’s shadow."
