Boston Celtics: 3 goals for the team post All-Star break
By Mark Nilon
Heading into the All-Star break the Boston Celtics have been on an absolute tear, winning 10 of their last 12 outings. Hoping the hot-streak continues, here are 3 goals for the team to try and achieve post ASG Weekend.
Closing out their grueling January-February schedule with a massive win over the star-studded Los Angeles Clippers, the Boston Celtics head into the All-Star break with momentum well on their side. Winning 10 of their last 12 games, the team has shown everyone why they are a true top-5 team not just in the Eastern Conference, but in the entire NBA.
Now, with All-Star weekend finally here, the team — minus their two contest participants in Kemba Walker and Jayson Tatum — will have ample time to recuperate, retreat and rest up in preparation for the final stretch of the season.
If the season ended today the C’s would be the Eastern Conference’s third seed (38-16) and would be squaring off against the completely underrated Indiana Pacers in the first round of the postseason. However, that is only if the season ends today.
Post All-Star weekend Boston will have 28 more games left to play in 2020. In that span, many things could change. Outside of the Milwaukee Bucks — and even then, it is not a guarantee they’ll sustain this level of success — the top-6 standings in the conference is certainly a tight race. The C’s could just as easily finish in 5th place as they could hold onto their current 3rd seed.
Many things can change and many goals can be attained from now till April. With that in mind, here are 3 goals for the Boston Celtics post All-Star weekend.
