Markieff Morris

Starting off our list we have the most recent player linked to be of interest to the Boston Celtics. Markieff Morris — the twin brother of former Celtics Marcus Morris — is a forward currently wallowing away on the lowly 18-34 Detroit Pistons.

The 30 year old is having himself a solid season of 11 points, 3.9 boards and 1.5 assists on 45 percent shooting from the field and 39% shooting from 3. On just over a $3 million salary for the next year, one could certainly argue someone of Morris’ talents are on somewhat of a bargain deal.

For Boston he would easily bolster the team’s front court rotation as well as improve upon their three point and bench production. He’s also know around the league as a scrappy rebounder and a great hustle guy coming off the pine.

With the fact that Motor City is unlikely to reach the postseason, and with the possibility of Andre Drummond being on his way out, they could find themselves in the midst of a fire-sale, and Morris could find himself being offloaded.

With his very affordable contract, coupled with his less-than-massive market value — though many teams are reportedly interested in acquiring his services — it wouldn’t take much for the shamrocks to add him onto the roster.
