Andre Iguodala

First on our list, we have a player who has been buzzed about quite a bit as of late. Since being traded to the Memphis Grizzlies this past offseason, Andre Iguodala has stated numerous times he will not suit up for the franchise, as he wishes to play for a legitimate contender in 2020.

Now, mid-way through the season this wish of his remains as true as ever.

According to CBS’s Jasmyn Wimbish, the wing is ready to sit out for the rest of the season if the Grizzlies don’t deal him. Because of these reports, “teammates” such as Ja Morant and Dillon Brooks have came out publicly with their displeasure of the drama, and Brooks has gone as far as to say: “I can’t wait until we find a way to trade him so we can play him and show him what really Memphis is about.”

Perhaps a way to stop this dramatic holdout by Iggy is for the Boston Celtics to deal for the accomplished veteran. It would benefit Memphis and could certainly benefit the C’s come playoff time.

Though he may have lost a step since his Finals MVP days, the 16-year veteran would bring leadership and ample postseason experience to this youthful Celtics squad (average age is 24 years old).

Last time he logged minutes on the hardwood, the forward was playing in his fifth consecutive Finals and was boasting averages of 9.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, four assists, 1.1 steals and 1.1 blocks per game on 49 percent shooting from the field, 35 percent shooting from 3 and a box +/- of 4.2.

He would be that much needed leader on the bench as well as on the court for this young and talented Celtics team as they gear up for a potentially deep playoff run in 2020.
