The NBA’s trade season is in full swing, and the Boston Celtics have their name attached to seemingly everyone. Here are 3 wild-card trade targets they could potentially pursue.

With the NBA’s trade deadline rapidly approaching, reports of team’s being interested in specific players on the block have seemingly blown up everyone’s social media feeds. Perhaps to some surprise, the Boston Celtics have been often linked to various players — names both big and small — as a realistic landing spot come February 6th.

From Davis Bertans to Clint Capela, Tristan Thompson to Andre Drummond it appears as though everyone and anyone is in play to don green & white in 2020 — at least, so the media would have it seem.

Either way, despite what you may believe on the matter, one thing is for sure: Danny Ainge appears willing to make a move. Whether it be to land a new starting center like Adrian Wojnarowski would have you believe or to bolster the team’s second unit like Ainge has stated, multiple routes appear to be mapped out for the C’s to take this trade season.

The only question remains: which path will they take?

Might they just stand pat and hold onto the unit they have now? Do they wind up striking a deal for one of the plethora of players they have been strongly linked to these past few days?

Or perhaps, do thet go an entirely different route and deal for a player that has not been typically connected with the franchise — a wild-card type of deal if you will.

That’s exactly why we’re here today: to discuss 3 wild-card trade targets the C’s could pursue.
