Rumors suggest the Boston Celtics may be big-game hunting in the form of a Clint Capela deal, but the more likely outcome is a deal for a wing to bolster their depth on the perimeter.
Danny Ainge recently spoke about what the Boston Celtics may do this trade season. Just days before the deadline, Ainge commented on what the most likely course of action may be: a deal on the fringes.
Danny Ainge on @NBCSCeltics: "I think our number one need is health. We’re going to look for ways to strengthen the end of our bench…we’ve got too many young guys."

Went on to say how Carsen Edwards is thriving in Maine, but implying they may need vet help.
Boston possess Tremont Waters and Carsen Edwards as backup point guard options. Grant Williams and Tacko Fall make up their big man rotation of the future. They all seem likely to remain Celtics given the focus on their development.
Other youngsters could be on the trade block. Semi Ojeleye is a likely goner if deals are to be aggregated. Vincent Poirier seems like a likely goner in the case of a trade too, after failing to make much of an impact early on in a one-year prove-it deal.
Either way, although the rumor mill was piping hot with Clint Capela smoke, that fire may have been extinguished with Ainge’s words. He seems to like his big-man corps:
Danny Ainge asked on PreGame Live if he’s comfortable with the Celtics’ current big man situation.

Answers simply, “Yes, I am.”
Later notes, “I feel good about our center position."
Earlier this season, Ainge spoke about the wing spots and how he wanted to make his team more switchable defensively.
Here are three wings that the C’s can acquire before the deadline:
