As we approach the halfway mark of the 2019-20 season, the Houdini takes a look at some goals the Boston Celtics can realistically achieve this year.

Goals are good to have. Whether you are a student, at the entry level of your profession, or a multi-billion dollar professional basketball team with more championships than any other franchise in sports since the 1960’s like the Boston Celtics, it is always productive to have goals.

For our beloved Shamrocks, this season has gone as smoothly as possible. There have been few growing pains for a team whose core mostly consists of players under the age of 24 years old. What’s more impressive is that the two highest earners on the team, Kemba Walker and Gordon Hayward, have yet to complain once about the youth of the team.

The 2019-20 C’s are winning at a similar pace to last year, but unlike the toxic 2018-19 team, losses aren’t accompanied by finger-pointing and bickering. That is something the Houdini is happy to see and will continue to point out as the season trudges on.

This year is a hopeful one in Beantown. The record (26-12) is where it needs to be, as is the camaraderie. If there’s something the Golden State Warriors can teach the rest of the league, it’s that organic growth and fostering a player-friendly environment is the best way to get to and stay at the top of the league.

In order to properly bottle this excitement, we are going to do some forward-thinking and name some goals the team CAN achieve in 2019-20:
