Tonight marks the beginning of a 23 game stretch in 42 days for the Boston Celtics. Here are three players that will prove to be pivotal during this grueling two-month debacle.

The Boston Celtics have been on an absolute tear thus far in the 2019-20 season. Currently holding a record of 23-8 the C’s find themselves in the Eastern Conference’s second seed and are on pace for 61 wins on the season.

It must be stated, however, that until this point, despite accumulating a fair amount of impressive wins, their 2019-20 season has been relatively lax. Boston currently ranks last in the association in games played (31) and have only gone against eight opponents currently with winning records.

But tonight, this easy trend is about to break.

Within the next six weeks, the Celtics will find themselves in the midst of one of the most challenging stretches the league will see this season. Through 42 days Boston will be playing 23 games, 11 of which will be against current playoff teams and 10 will be played on the road. Spanning across 11 different cities and 9,000 miles of air travel, the C’s will not come across consecutive days off until the All-Star break in mid-February.

This next month will prove to be a challenge for all members of the organization, both on the sidelines and on the hardwood. In order for the Boston Celtics to see this stretch turn out to be a success, many players will need to step up in big ways.
