One of our favorite things to do here at Hardwood Houdini is to think up ways to bolster the Boston Celtics’ talent pool in the front-court. Today, we look at veteran free agents who appear to be the best fits for this team down low.

So far into the 2019-20 NBA season, the Boston Celtics have been on an absolute tear. Currently, they find themselves with a record of 14-5 and are the current holders of the fourth seed in the Eastern conference.

For those of you familiar with Hardwood Houdini’s work, you should have noticed that we often write up articles about who the Celtics can potentially bring in to help improve their roster to better their chances of contending this year, and for the years to come. While it may feel a bit odd, being Boston has already exceeded expectations to start the season, we find it to be a necessary activity.

In all honesty, if a general manager is not constantly concocting schemes of how to better their team for success than, frankly, they’re not doing their job correctly. Currently speaking, there are no perfectly constructed rosters in the NBA… believe me, the Boston Celtics are no exception to this statement.

Coming into the season, one of the biggest gripes fans and media alike had with Beantown’s roster was their shallow talent pool in the front court, specifically at the center position. Now 19-games in, despite the fact that Daniel Theis has performed admirably and the C’s have a winning percentage of roughly 74%, their depth at the pivot spot still appears to be their most glaring weakness.

Today, we take a look at three free agents that could potentially tie up the loose ends within the Boston Celtics front court.
