Danny Ainge put the final touches on the Boston Celtics’ roster heading into training camp. In making the moves he made, Ainge has made it clear that there is a spot on the final 15 man roster for Tacko Fall.

Yesterday, the Boston Celtics made their 20th and final signing before training camp opens in less than two weeks. With the signing of 23-year-old power forward Yante Maten to go along with the training camp invite of Kaiser Gates, it’s apparent there will be amble big man competition coming into this year’s preseason.

However, none of these front court hopeful’s appear as enticing for the Boston Celtics to sign as the 7-6 Senegalese supergiant, Tacko Fall.

Instead of pursuing an accomplished veteran such as Jamal Crawford or even a Luis Scola (who dazzled with an improved physique and motor while leading the charge for Argentina during this year’s FIBA World Championships) Boston opted for the raw talents of these hungry and unproven prospects.

Ultimately, these signings have all made it clear that Ainge is seeking in house solutions when it comes to fleshing out the rest of the roster. And because Gates and Maten are not likely to prove difficult to retain for the G-League affiliate Maine Red Claws, most signs point to Fall being the 15th man on the 2019-20 Boston Celtics roster.

Now keep in mind, Javonte Green holds a very small guaranteed contract with Beantown for the upcoming season, according to Yahoo Sports contributor Keith Smith.

If anyone is likely to poach the final spot away from the Houdini’s favorite Senegalese super-giant, it’s Green. That said, the wing does not help bring the Boston Celtics closer to fixing their center crisis.

Fall might.

Given his pride for the organization and the fact that his fellow Celtics running mates gush about him, Fall’s chances were always high to make the final roster. But with his competition being what we know it now is, the odds are ever in the favor of Mr. Tall…Tacko Fall.
