November

Playoff teams = 8

Non-playoff teams = 6

Total games = 14

Nine of Boston’s 14 November games are on the road, including an absolutely brutal Western Conference road trip in the middle of the month.

The team starts by flying out to play the Warriors in their brand new arena, then travels to Sacramento, Phoenix, Los Angeles (Clippers), Denver and then they finally come home to play Sacramento again.

The beginning of the month is much needed, as the team plays a mixture of home and road games against bad teams such as the Wizards, Hornets and Knicks.

The real highlight on the month is near the end, where NBA schedule makers have given the Celtics a Kyrie Irving sandwich for Thanksgiving.

The Nets come to town for the first time on November 27th, the day before Thanksgiving, and then host the Celtics the day after the holiday.

In case you forgot, this is humorous due to Irving’s Thanksgiving comment during last season.

Whether you are making plans to see this game or plan on watching from home, November 27th will likely be the most watched Celtics game of the year as Irving makes his first return to the Garden.
