3 Stars Champion – Terry Rozier

For a night, Scary Terry was back, folks. In a blast from the past, Terry Rozier took over this game and in stretches carried the team on his back. Rozier blasted off for 14 first-quarter points, and by halftime had knocked down 4 triples on his way to 22 points on perfect 8-8 shooting from the floor. Sheesh.

Rozier finished the game with 26 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists. All of which led the team. The 26 points marks his season high, and ultimately was the spark that fueled the C’s to the win.

Being the aggressor early on set the tone for the game, as exhibited in the play below.

In this play, Rozier takes a screen from Robert Williams and, instead of settling for a mid-range jumper, he uses the extra airspace to attack the basket for an easy layup and the lead.

Later in the half, Rozier showed us his range with a buzzer-beating deep bomb that quickly absorbed any momentum Cleveland thought they had.

Tonight was Terry Rozier’s night. For the first time in a long time, Celtics fans got to be reminded of the special talent that made Rozier such a weapon in the team’s deep playoff run last season. Here’s to hoping that this performance can trigger some extra Scary Terry magic down the homestretch!

The Celtics will put their 5 game win streak to the ultimate test Saturday night when they host the Golden State Warriors in a battle of Goliaths. The contest is assured to have all of the makings of a playoff atmosphere, and a potential NBA Finals preview.
