Come on, Marcus Smart

Marcus wasn’t being very … smart last night.

*ba dum tss*

It’s good to see that at least one player on this team cares about what’s going on. This is exactly the kind of energy we come to expect from Marcus Smart, and we love him for it.

But, plain and simple, the second charge was a mistake, and one that shouldn’t happen in games as meaningless as this one. While the second technical was the result of some questionable officiating, Smart didn’t help the situation with his second charge at the Hawks.

The Celtics already missed Smart as they surmounted their comeback last night, the last thing they need is to hear news that they’ll be without him for tomorrow’s matchup against the Heat. Keep that energy up, Marcus, but channel it in a way that doesn’t get you suspended. Things like this cannot happen during a playoff series.

Boston takes on the Miami Heat tomorrow night in Boston, with hopes of grabbing their fourth straight game. Tip-off is at an early 6 p.m.
