Mitchell Incoming

Donovan Mitchell played like a man with something to prove after finishing with 35 shot attempts and zero assists in Utah’s loss to Philadelphia Friday.

The Jazz guard attacked early and often, scoring 28 points while also dishing out 6 assists. He made five-three pointers, and his quickness to continually get two feet in the paint.

Mitchell showed his explosiveness and ball-handling ability here, crossing up Jaylen Brown.

But Brown was not Mitchell’s only vicim. The second-year guard sliced and diced his way past the Boston defense, as the Celtics were constantly worried about where Rudy Gobert was, lurking for lobs.

Mitchell dazzled with lefty finishes, step back three-pointers, and a diverse array of moves to pair with his blazing first step. After a tough start to the season, and a brutal game against the 76ers, Mitchell showed strong resilience with his play in Boston.
