How Much Do You Bench?

The Boston Celtics bench pressed the Pistons, once again turning the tides of the game, this time in a dominant second quarter when they turned an single-digit lead into a 20-plus point blowout.

Daniel Theis looked like his good old self, scoring 14 points in the first half and leading the second unit along with Terry Rozier and Marcus Morris.

Theis finished the game with 17 points and 8 rebounds, while Marcus Morris added 18 points and 8 rebounds. Terry Rozier also had 8 rebounds, to go along with 14 points. Marcus Smart led the Celtics with nine assists.

Smart and Morris both hounded Griffin defensively, while Rozier paced the Celtics offensively. Boston’s bench scored 62 of its 109 points and outscored the Pistons bench, 62-34.

The Boston Celtics (4-2) and Detroit Pistons (4-1) will a play a rematch in Boston on Tuesday at the TD Garden at 7:30 p.m. EST.
