The Boston Celtics defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder, 101-95, Thursday night at Chesapeake Energy Arena. Marcus Morris and Terry Rozier led a 16-point second half comeback.

The Boston Celtics looked to regain some rhythm early in the season tonight against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The game started with familiar anguish for Celtics fans, as the ball simply would not go through the hoop; the Thunder looked strong as they took a 50-34 lead heading into halftime.

The Celtics didn’t hit a three-point attempt until Gordon Hayward’s shot early in the 3rd quarter, but the floodgates opened soon after as the Celts hit nine three-pointers in the 3rd stanza, led by noted flamethrower Al Horford to take a 74-73 lead into the final break.

The shamrocks then rode the closing prowess of Kyrie Irving and Marcus Morris to a 101-95 victory.

Injury note: Aron Baynes did not play in this game as he recovers from a hamstring strain, Marcus Smart also appeared to be in pain after jamming his surgically repaired thumb late in the 3rd quarter but returned to action in the 4th.

Here’s how the C’s secured win number 3 for the season:
