Boston Celtics: Notes and TV Info for NBA Season Opener vs Philadelphia 76ers
By Thomas King
The Boston Celtics host the Philadelphia 76ers in both team’s 2018-2019 NBA season opener on Tuesday at the TD Garden at 8 p.m.
After a long offseason of waiting, predicting, and prognosticating, the Boston Celtics are finally back for some basketball that counts!
The Boston Celtics will host the Philadelphia 76ers Tuesday night at the TD Garden in the season opening game for both teams and a rematch of last season’s Eastern Conference Semifinals.
The Celtics struggled to a 1-3 mark in the preseason, but coach Brad Stevens and fans are hoping the exhibition schedule can be chalked up to a team with big goals looking too far ahead.
With Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward returning to the lineup, the TD Garden should be rowdy and rocking for the Celtics home opener.
Meanwhile, the 76ers come in looking for revenge and with a lot to prove. After an underwhelming offseason of signings, Philadelphia’s young stars, Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid, are looking to prove they belong in the East’s top tier, even if they didn’t bring in much help in the summer.’
