Now that the trade is official, who are the real winners and losers on both sides?

It’s officially official. After days and days of the Cleveland Cavaliers holding out on the Boston Celtics for some additional compensation because of their fear of Isaiah Thomas‘ hip injury, the two teams finally came to an agreement on a trade including Thomas and Kyrie Irving.

After Shams Charania first reported over a week ago that the Celtics and Cavaliers agreed on a trade to send Irving to Boston and Thomas to Cleveland. It all seemed like it was all set and Irving was going to be in green when all of sudden Adrian Wojnarowski dropped a ‘Woj Bomb’:

This sent NBA Twitter into a week full of craze until finally, Wojnarowski finally broke the news that the trade was officially official.

Now that the trade is done with, people can finally debate about who got the better end of the deal.

Final trade details:

Boston Receives: Kyrie Irving

Cleveland Receives: Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic, Brooklyn Nets 2018 First Round Pick, and Miami 2020 Second-Round Pick.
