4. Health

During the first couple weeks of the season, the Celtics were dealing with injuries with Horford’s concussion and elbow along with Bradley’s Achilles and hamstring. Even with Bradley out for a lot of the first half of the season, the Celtics still ended up holding the 2nd-seed as they went into the All-Star break.

Since the break, they’ve only gotten better. With their full, healthy lineup, the Celtics are among the league’s best:

One player who has made an impact in a lot of games as of late is Jaylen Brown. He has been shooting an impressive 43.1% from 3. Brown, only ranked 8th in this week’s Kia Rookie Ladder, has been proving himself more and more as the season has progressed. You could even thank the absence of Avery Bradley for the emergence of Brown.

Obviously, the Celtics can compete with anybody when they are at full strength. The only question is, can they stay healthy? If so, Boston will be in prime position to go far in the playoffs and challenge the Cavaliers.
