The Celtics will have their fair share of home games through out the season hosting a lot of title contending teams. We may be in a rebuilding process but the atmosphere in Boston is like no other which will be our advantage.
Here is the top 10 home games of the season
10. Milwaukee Bucks, Friday April 3rd.
This will be the first time the Celtics take on former teamate Jerryd Bayless and a top rookie in Jabari Parker who will be a solid player late in the season when we play him.
9. vs Miami Heat, Sunday February 1st.
The Celtics have had a small rivalry with the Miami Heat ever since LeBron came. The “tradition” will go on with them still being a top team in the east with Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and possibly former Celtic Ray Allen.
8. vs Chicago Bulls, Friday 28th.
The Bulls are one of the best teams in the east with a healthy Derrick Rose back and new additions of Doug McDermott and Pau Gasol. It will be a tough challenge for the Celtics and will see how competitive they can be against a top team in the east.
7. vs San Antonio Spurs, Sunday November 30th.
Taking on the NBA champions will be a big challenge for the Celtics and will be a game every Celtics fan will be looking forward too, one of the last times we will also host Tim Duncan as well.
6. vs Los Angeles Clippers, March 29th.
Doc Rivers second return with Chris Paul and Blake Griffin will be a fan favorite game for the highlights, A Rajon Rondo vs Chris Paul match up will be exciting to watch as they go at each other very hard.
5. vs Los Angeles Lakers, Friday December 5th.
The biggest rivalry in NBA and Celtics history still lives on to this day and with Kobe Bryant being back from his injury it will be a challenge for the Celtics and the fans will be into the game all night long.
4. vs Oklahoma City Thunder, November 12th.
Former teammate and fan favorite Kendrick Perkins will be back with the 2013-14 MVP Kevin Durant and all-star point guard Rajon Rondo which will be another game you can’t miss and will be a big win for the Celtics if they’re able to capture the win.
3. vs Brooklyn Nets, October 29th.
The season opener is one of the biggest games all year because it’s basketball season again! Kevin Garnett is still with the Nets and will make another return back to Boston.
2. vs Washington Wizards, Sunday December 27th.
The Wizards will be one of few arguable top teams in the east and with the new addition of Paul Pierce one of the greatest Celtics of all time, it will be a must watch as Pierce is back in town to the team he’s been with for 15 years and fans will be cheering for both him and the Celtics.
1. vs Cleveland Cavaliers, Friday November 12th.
LeBron James and the new look Cavaliers will drive all Celtics fans nervous because they’re the new powerhouse in the east. With Kyrie Irving and possibly new teammate Kevin Love it will be the toughest game for the Celtics all season.
