Boston Celtics Trade Deadline Recap

The NBA trade deadline is just over twenty five days away and we thought we’d take a look at some of the deadline deals that took place over the last twenty or so years involving the Boston Celtics.

Remember last year when Danny Ainge spoke about how he did not see the Celtics as major players at leading up to the 2010 NBA trade deadline?

The Celtics have to make a tough decision over the next couple of weeks. Are they going to try and acquire a few pieces to better the club or are they willing to dismantle the team in hopes of a brighter future? Only times will tell and with Danny Ainge at the helm, expect the unexpected.

Shockingly though, history shows that the Celtics are not major deadline deal traders.

The Celtics have made only 11 deadline trades since 1987.
