Fade this Jaylen Brown prop in Eastern Conference Finals Game 5 vs. Miami Heat

Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown has struggled mightily with his shot in the Eastern Conference Finals, and bettors may want to take advantage of that in the prop market in Game 5.

Since the end of the first round, Brown has not scored the ball at a high clip, averaging 20.6 points per game and shooting just 30.6 percent from beyond the arc.

The Celtics star has shot just 39.0 percent from the field against Miami in the Eastern Conference Finals, a massive step back from what he’s done in his career and in other rounds in these playoffs.

Brown has yet to score more than 22 points in a game in this series, and that’s where his points prop is set for Game 5.

For Celtics fans, it may not be fun to bet against Brown, but it’s hard to deny his struggles against the Heat in this series.

He’s made just three of his 25 attempts from 3-point range against Miami and has turned the ball over 12 times in four games.

The Celtics need to get Brown going, but relying on him to score 23 or more points, at -140 odds, seems like a riskier play than taking the UNDER.

If Miami can slow the game down like it would prefer, Brown is going to have less chances to score the ball. With Jayson Tatum controlling Game 4, the Celtics may not need a huge game from Brown to win Game 5.

I’d fade him as a scorer on Thursday night.
