Celtics vs. Heat prediction and odds for Game 3 of Eastern Conference Finals
By Peter Dewey
The Eastern Conference Finals have been a disaster for the Boston Celtics, blowing two leads at home to fall down 2-0 to the No. 8 seed Miami Heat.
Grant Williams lit a fire under Jimmy Butler in Game 2, leading to Miami closing the game on a massive run to win a second straight road game to take control of the series.
Boston is still favored in Game 3 of this series on the road, but the Heat have yet to lose a game at home in the playoffs (5-0) this season.
Facing a potential 3-0 deficit, Boston can’t afford to lose Game 3, as no team in NBA history has erased a 3-0 deficit in a seven-game series.
Here’s a look at the odds and my best bet for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals:

Boston has been in a similar situation before, trailing 3-2 in the second round to the Philadelphia 76ers and needing two straight wins, but picking up two victories on the road is going to be a little tougher.
However, there is a path for Boston to win Game 3, and I’m going to bet on the Celtics to do so.
The C’s have been crushed by major runs by Miami, struggling to hold any of their own leads throughout the series.
The Heat have been masterful erasing playoff deficits compared to the rest of the NBA, but eventually it’s going to catch up to them.
Boston was in Game 2 despite a poor showing from Jaylen Brown, and I expect him to bounce back, along with Jayson Tatum in Game 3.
The Celtics are too talented of a team to go down 3-0 in this series. Trust them to grab a crucial road win on Sunday.
