Boston Celtics stud: Dennis Schroder

Though his first three games wearing green and white may have proven to be somewhat underwhelming considering the expectations many, including ourselves, had for Dennis Schroder coming into the year, we still strongly believed that it was only a matter of time before he got comfortable in his new environment and showcased the skillset that deemed him to be the steal of this year’s free agency period.

Sunday night served as just that, as he look incredibly comfortable on the court, playing like an absolute menace in virtually every area of the game.

Receiving his second-straight start, the veteran went on to log 36 minutes on the night where he finished the game off with 23 points, eight assists, six rebounds, and a block on 43 percent shooting from the floor and 44 percent shooting from deep.

Seemingly taking primary distributor duties for Marcus Smart, the offense looked to have run a bit smoother with him running the show.

However, like Smart, his off-ball skills were well on display throughout the game, ceding touches to Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown on quite a number of occasions where he’d roam around and look to clear up the lane, get open for catch and shoot attempts, or to simply get out of the stars’ way and let them do their thing.

No matter which way you look at it, Schroder stepped up in a big way during his fourth game as a member of the Boston Celtics and, should he be able to continue this level of efficiency, he’ll easily be viewed as that trusty third scoring option this team has been longing for.
