Free agent target from the Phoenix Suns: Langston Galloway

Langston Galloway could be a very valuable piece for the Boston Celtics. The team needs bench scoring and more defensive-focused players.

He’s by no means a flashy pickup but he does everything that a coach asks of a role player. He comes in and plays valuable minutes, even if they are limited, and has a genuine impact on the game.

He’s not going to give you 15 points a night but that’s not what he’s asked to do. Galloway’s role has been very limited with the Suns but he’s a great veteran presence off the bench and in the locker room.

That’s exactly what the Cs need.

When you’re running out a bench unit full of G-League players, it’s a problem. Galloway instantly makes the bench more respectable and adds valuable experience to a very young team. He probably won’t have a ton of offers in free agency and he won’t be asking for much so there’s really no reason not to pursue him.

Galloway had a few good years in Detroit but has never been a “good” quality player.

He’s always been pretty average but that’s all he’s needed to be over the last seven years. A career role player, Galloway has always been a guy you can count on to go in, make the most of his minutes, and get out.

He’s a gritty player and is a grinder defensively. The bench unit for the Boston Celtics is terrible and he’ll be a great end of the bench piece that can go in and be a difference-maker.
