Boston Celtics key No. 2) 3-point success from the ‘Jays’

With Kemba Walker out, the weight of success rests on the shoulders of the team’s ‘Jays’ in Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

At least for the first month of action, this team will go as far as Boston’s wing duo will take them and, so far, they have them placed in the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference which, though not bad, is not where we hope to see them come season’s end.

In each of the C’s three wins, they were easily the catalysts, with their most recent performance finding them dropping a combined 58 points on 66 percent shooting from the floor.

However, perhaps the biggest offensive impact they both had during these wins was the success rate from downtown.

During wins this season, the ‘Jays’ have shot the 3-ball at an incredibly effective 51 percent clip.

In losses, however, Tatum and Brown are only finding themselves converting on 25 percent of their attempts.

As we all know, today’s game is highly impacted by a team’s success rate from beyond the arc.

If the Boston Celtics want to come away from tonight’s game with a victory, getting clean looks from deep and converting on them will be a big key — perhaps the biggest of them all, in fact.
