Today’s Board of Governors meeting to decide the Boston Celtics v. Toronto Raptors’ Semifinals game-one fate.

When we all arose yesterday morning, it seemed to be only a whisper by players on the Boston Celtics and Toronto Raptors that teams could opt to boycott some of their games to shed light on the most recent example of unnecessary force by a law-enforcement officer on an unarmed black American in Jacob Blake.

As the day progressed, however, this mere idea turned into a reality when the Milwaukee Bucks opted to skip their 4:00 PM (ET) game-five matchup against the Orlando Magic.

From there, all other games still on Wednesday’s docket were subsequently canceled.

As the night progressed, players reportedly gathered in a private room at one of their Disney hotels to discuss future actions or, in other words, the future of their time in the bubble.

Taken to a vote on how to move forward, reportedly a majority of teams would like to finish the season, with only the Los Angeles Clippers and Lakers voting to boycott. it was stated that no decision would be deemed final until further notice.

Today, the discussions are set to continue with a scheduled Board of Governors meeting, according to ESPN Analyst Adrian Wojnarowski.

While yesterday’s games have all been rescheduled, today’s slate is still reportedly up in the air. That said, one unspecified veteran player has gone on the record as saying the remainder of the 2019-20 season is in “Jeopardy.”

Should the season be canceled, there would surely be a bevy of ramifications that would ensue — topics in which were discussed during the NBA & NBPA meeting held last night.

Whatever happens in today’s meeting will undoubtedly bring answers regarding the status of Boston Celtics v. Toronto Raptors’ game-one.
