According to Marc Stein, the Boston Celtics are interested in Sacramento Kings guard Tyreke Evans. Danny Ainge has been trying to acquire him for years, and he might get his wish by 3 pm this afternoon.

No word as to who’s being offered for Evans, but if the price isn’t too high, this could be one of those typical sneaky, Ainge-like trades.

Evans can play both guard positions, and would be Leandro Barbosa’s replacement, which the Celtics desperately need. Nothing is imminent yet, but on the day of the trade deadline, discussions can lead to agreements in a very short period of time.
