Shaquille O’Neal was hanging out in Harvard Square yesterday, as he did earlier this summer. Of course, this time he was pretending to be a statue. Explain that one.

Anyway, I could sit here and explain to Shaq that there are better schools to hang out around. Like Tufts, for instance. But Shaq isn’t the only big man doing some odd things lately. Dwight Howard and a team of youngsters have paired together to release a highly anticipated album by everyone who, like me, has played out Kidz Bop and every version of the “Now” CDs up to 26.  Here is a preview of “Superman” covering a terrible band, Black Eyed Peas (yes, they were once good. Spare me.), and making it even worse. Yes, quite possibly worse than Shaq’s rapping. Though you are getting that opinion from someone who has sat through Kazaam multiple times. Oh, and Steel. And Blue Chips, though that movie is excellent and also stars one of my all-time favorite players, Penny Hardaway.

Just one more reason why the regular season needs to start already—so these guys don’t have any time for these ridiculous shenanigans.
