That photo sums the week up- Sheed getting burnt and Rondo trying to figure things out. All week… No…. All year, Rajon Rondo has played his tail off. He is the only player on the team who has the rights to come out and say so. That earned him the player of the week last week. It had nothing to do with his point total, or assists per game, or rebounds, but instead his hustle. Some of his nasty plays (behind the back to Pierce for 3) helped his cause too.

In a week of many ups and downs (more downs than ups), the Celtics had 1 bright spot and that was the future of the team with Rondo at the helm. The point guard stared down a large defecit to the Lakers in the 1st quarter of their battle last Sunday, and instead of cowering in the corner, he came out and showed the Lakers that this Celtics team would not go down without a fight. For his effort in that game, as well as his output in the other games last week, Rajon Rondo is the weeks Hardwood Houdini Player of the Week.

While being involved in the most controversial play of the week, Glen Davis got himself back on track and earned himself the Hardwood Houdini Player of The Week. After looking pretty shaky in his game time the week before, Davis made his presence felt this past week. Big Baby has shown that he is getting his timing and feel for the game back. Although he has come out with a new style of play, I would expect him to return to his jumpers once his thumb is better, in return making his offensive game much more versatile. Lets hope this is just the beginning for Glen, and he will use this week to catapult himself as a dominant force off the bench.
