Kevin Connors
A June 1976 graduate of Collier High, Kevin Connors is the first and only pro athlete to come out of Collier County. His soccer-style placekicking prowess led him to Stetson University (honors graduate, Class of 1980), where he set two still-standing NCAA Division I records: one for most points in a season, one for distance.
Formerly nicknamed "The Mule," Connors is regarded by his peers as "one hell of a model American." He is currently the proprietor of the Krucial Kuts blog (www.krucialkutsblog.com), where he writes mostly about the Celtics and occasionally about rock and roll.
