After a dominant performance in Game 5, the Celtics look to close out the series in D.C., and advance to this year’s Eastern Conference Finals.

With other players like; Avery Bradley, Marcus Smart, and Terry Rozier stepping up big-time, the C’s look more unified than ever as they hope to be granted this year’s NBA Champs. While they may have had their slumps playing away for games 3 and 4, the team looks rejuvenated and ready to move on from this very physical and heated series, only in hopes of dethroning King James and the Cavs.

The playoffs have been a bumpy ride for the Celtics so far without a doubt, but they play with determination and heart, persevering through some of the hardest of challenges.

More from Celtics News

This is the team that went down 0-2 to the 8th seed Chicago Bulls, yet they manage to win out not only the series in the next four games, but the first two straight games against the Wizards as well. Now, it may seem too early to call the Celtics potential NBA Champs; however, with the right game plans, and with the right mindset, this team can be very much capable of greatness.

Even though this Celtics team is young, they are reluctant enough to be accompanied by proper veteran leadership, and spearheaded by one of the brightest coaching minds in today’s NBA.

If the Celtics do indeed win this series, the conference finals will without a doubt be a big challenge, and this team will have to be ready to take on last year’s champions. Fortunately, this team has proven that they are chalk full of surprises, and just may have a few in store for the King.

Maybe it’s luck, maybe it’s Tom Brady and the Patriots serving as inspiration, or maybe it’s the dedication, hard work, sweat and tears that this team provides on the court every day. Either way, the Boston Celtics could very well have a real shot at being this year’s victors.
