Stephen Curry and Warriors get Burned by Boston
The Celtics went into Oracle arena and took out the Warriors on the road for the second straight season
After tough losses in Phoenix and Los Angeles, the Celtics faced one of their biggest challenges of the season taking on the Warriors on the road. Golden State was without superstar Kevin Durant, but they still could be considered a top two team in the NBA despite his absence.

The game was incredibly fast paced. Golden State’s defense is so fast on their close outs, and their active hands in passing lanes made Boston’s offense work hard on every possession. Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry had their moments, but the Celtics did a great job of defending the best shooters in the NBA.
For the first three quarters, the Celtics were just hanging around. The Warriors were outplaying the Celtics on both ends. Curry closed out the third quarter with an impressive three pointer, up faking Jaylen Brown, and trash talking the rookie as he walked to the bench.
Brown wasn’t sure why Curry decided to taunt him after the three, but it seemed to have sparked the Celtics fourth quarter roasting of the Warriors. The Celtics outscored Golden State 27-12 in the final frame. Curry failed to score another basket after his buzzer beater, as Avery Bradley swallowed him on two different occasions for huge baskets.
This was a huge win for a Boston team that had been dealing with a large amount of adversity. Blowing leads to two teams that they’re better than was not the best way to go into a match up with Golden State, but the Celtics continue to respond in tough situations.
Ever since their full lineup has been in tact, the Celtics have taken out both teams that appeared in the Finals last season, as well as completely dismantle the Lakers. This is incredibly promising as the playoffs are around the corner.
Home court advantage will be key in the Celtics hopes to reach the eastern conference finals, as the Wizards seem to be their likely opponent in the second round. Washington is not a very good road team, but a terrific team when they play in their own arena. If the Celtics want their best chance at playing the Cavs in the conference finals, they need to have home court over Washington.

The Celtics will play the Denver Nuggets on Friday night to wrap up their west coast road trip. They are currently a full game ahead of the Wizards for the second seed, so closing out a tough trip with two big wins should go a long way towards Boston closing out the season strong.
