Celtics Rewind: Top 5 Rajon Rondo Career Assists

It’s a bit of a throwback Thursday here at Hardwood Houdini!

Rajon Rondo is without doubt one of the best passers in the modern era of the NBA if not the best. His game is built around his passing ability which is why he racked up a career best 11.7 assists in the 2011-12 season.  It’s one thing to have flashy passes and most players who have that in their game don’t excel well with high amount of assists because of the turnovers they spare; Rondo, on the other hand, is a special player who makes behind the back plays on a fast break look easy.

Here are my top 5 assists of Rajon Rondos basketball career.

5. Rondo passes behind the back to Kenneth Faried in college.

4.  Rondo to Ray Allen for his record breaking three pointer.

3. Rondo no look behind the back pass to Ray Allen for three.

2. Rondo spins in the lane and passes it behind the back to Ray Allen for three.

1. Rondo avoids a LeBron chase down with the behind the back pass to Tony Allen.

Hope you enjoyed them!  Be sure to check back in as we look at the anniversary of the Kevin Garnett trade, too!
