Danny Ainge Opens Up About Paul Pierce

Once again, Danny Ainge has come forward and commented on the situation with Paul Pierce again.

Earlier this week, it was reported that the Celtics were likely to buy out Pierce’s contract and not trade him after all. Cavaliers insider, Bob Finnan, reported this and also reported that the Cleveland Cavaliers had an interest in Pierce.

Now, when asked about the rumor that Pierce is likely to be bought out, Ainge implied that he hadn’t made a decision on Pierce yet. Ainge talked to CSNNE about it. “Nothing surprises me, I’ll just let speculation continue.” Ainge said .

I can’t see a scenario where Pierce is just bought out and the Celtics get nothing in return. That hasn’t been the way that this organization has operated over the last few seasons.

Danny Ainge has given no signs that he is moving one way or another with Pierce. If Pierce is going then it is likely that Kevin Garnett will move on also–maybe to play with Pierce.

Hopefully Ainge can decide on something very soon so we can all just move along and prepare for next season.
