The Boston Celtics Fall to the Miami Heat: 105-103

Jeff Green had one of the greatest nights in the NBA thus far, scoring 43 points on only 21 shots, but that wasn’t enough as Miami beat the Boston Celtics 105-103. The Celtics were up 96-83 with eight minutes left in the game, but the Heat turned of the the defense.

In the end, a Garnett-less Celtics team couldn’t stop the Heat’s offensive attack. LeBron James had 37 points to go along with 12 assists and six rebounds. The Miami Heat’s streak continues on, but the Celtics gave them a great challenge.

Paul Pierce missed a potential game winning three point attempt in the final 10 seconds but it was a difficult contested jump shot. Avery Bradley didn’t have a very inspiring game, but he held Dwyane Wade to only 16 points on 15 shots tonight.

Though Boston couldn’t close the deal, this has to give them more confidence than ever. I don’t believe in moral victory, but Boston had the Heat dead to rights until LeBron James came through in the clutch making a basket over Jeff Green.

Miami finished the game on a 22-7 run through that final eight minute stretch. Their defensive pressure forced a lot of turnovers and halted the Celtics offense.
