The Celtics paid tribute to the New England Patriots with a little tomfoolery at the start of Thursday night’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers.
A word of caution, the portrayal is not 100% accurate. Rajon Rondo messed up and actually caught the ball when it counted.
I am also not sure that Rondo’s between the legs move was not some sort of carry and/or travel.
Either way, t’was a fitting tribute to the Patriots and their improbable run deep into the post season.
Tiquan Underwood, Rob Gronkowski and Vince Wilfork of the Patriots were in attendance. Luckily, Underwood was not sent home minutes before game time and Gronk managed to keep his shirt on the entire game.
