Reasons Why The Celtics Will Lose:
No Shaquille O’Neal-Without Shaq the Celtics have no inside presence to combat the Knicks and their lack of an inside presence. Shaq has been ruled out for at least game 1 and we’ll have to wait and see on the rest of the series. Jermaine O’Neal and Nenad Krstic will look to fill the void in the middle. Scoring Points-The Celtics have been the worst scoring offense since early March. Can the Celtics get it going when the games count or will they continue the trend of lackluster basketball? Old Age-The team has struggled down the stretch failing to ramp [...]
Reason Why The Celtics Will Win…..
Team defense-The Celtics led the NBA giving up only 91.13 points per game on the season. A fete that may be hard to duplicate at this stage in the season, however, a team that thinks of defense first may have enough left in the tank to shut down one of the more prolific scoring offenses in the league. Ray Allen-Do the Knicks have anyone that can stay with Allen for 4 quarters? Guarding Allen/Just being able to slow him down will be a tough task for anyone on the Knicks roster. If Allen can get it going early, other opportunities [...]

New York Knicks V. Boston Celtics Round One Preview
Boston Celtics (56-26) vs. New York Knicks (42-40) Sunday at 7pm on TNT We have heard all along that the Boston Celtics are playing for the playoffs. This was evidenced last week when the Celtics decided to concede the #2 seed in the East viewing rest as more important than playing the games out looking to grab a higher seed. A team built on aging superstars IS expected to flip the switch in mid-April and dominate the playoff field en route to banner 18. Right, this is what we told ourselves through the dog days of winter as we watched [...]

Game 1 Scheduled For Sunday
The NBA has scheduled game 1, of the opening round match-up, between the New York Knicks and Boston Celtics for Sunday at 7 p.m. The game will be a home game for the Celtics and will be broadcast on TNT. The rest of the schedule will be released at a later date. This just got real.
Rajon Rondo #3 In Jesery Sales
News out of the NBA is that Celtics guard Rajon Rondo has the third highest selling jersey in the entire NBA. Somewhat surprising considering the collection of Hall of Famers that make up the 2010-2011 Boston Celtics. Said the NBA via a press release: “LeBron James of the Miami Heat has grabbed the No. 1 spot on the NBA’s Most Popular Jerseys list, regaining the top ranking for the first time since April 2004, Los Angeles Lakers’ guard Kobe Bryant, who has owned the position since the start of the 2008-09 season, finished second overall for the 2010-11 season.” The [...]
Celtics Choose Rest Over Higher Seed
The Celtics took the road less traveled and conceded the second seed in the Eastern Conference to the Miami Heat. A win by the Heat, on Monday over the Atlanta Hawks, combined with a Celtics loss in Washington locked up the seeding for these two clubs on a collision course heading into the post season. The Celtics entered the game on Monday and decided to rest four of their starters viewing a few extra days rest as being more important than battling for the higher seed. Hard to argue with the logic. The Celtics are are on a horrible stretch [...]
Where Is That Panic Button?
Remember last week about this time when things were looking good coming off nice wins against the Detroit Pistons and the Philadelphia 76ers and then the Celtics got blasted by the Bulls and we just chalked it up to a bad game? I sure do, I regained a little confidence when the Green Team beat the Washington Wizards on Friday night and then I remembered that the Wizards are a bad team playing out the season. Well, a win is a win in the NBA and the Celtics have been short on them lately. Enter the Miami Heat. A win [...]
Back From The Dead?
Are the Celtics for real? Should I put all my eggs in the basket believing a team that stepped up in the second half against the 76ers is ready to make a playoff run……well, maybe or at least it is encouraging. Let’s face it, this team was never going to lead wire to wire and even though they seemed like they would at times, we need the Celtics to be healthy enough to make a playoff run, period. They are to old and banged up to play at a high level on a nightly basis. Would you rather an early [...]
