Shaq Injury Update

AUTHOR: | IN: Boston Celtics | COMMENTS: None Yet

Shaq left tonight’s game with what was initially described as a sore leg. Word after the game has labeled the injury as a sore hip. Shaq played just over six minutes before being pulled for Semih Erden who scored a season high 14 points in 30 minutes of play. The initial expectation is that Shaq will sit out the next two games. A hip can be a tricky injury to recover from and more will be known over the next couple of days. Shaq was long over due for a rest so the move to have him sit out a [...]

Shaq Leaves Game With Injury

AUTHOR: | IN: Celtics | COMMENTS: None Yet

Celtic center Shaquille O’Neal left tonight’s game early with what is being called a leg injury. Shaq has been playing quite a bit lately and is overdue for a break. We’ll hopefully know more after the conclusion of the game tonight. The Celtics play again tomorrow night in Washington and we’d be shocked if Shaq suited up regardless of the injury situation.

Raptors Buy Out Stojakovic

AUTHOR: | IN: Celtics | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Toronto Raptors completed a deal today to buy out the final year of Peja Stojakovic’s contract releasing the 13 year vet. Sources say Stojakovic desires to play in the Western Conference with the Dallas Mavericks as the likely favorites. Dallas could use another wing player after losing Caron Butler for the season. The career 40% shooter from three point range has been hobbled by knee issues this season but could be valuable to an established team looking to make a run. Worth the risk assuming the money is right. Stojakovic has only played in eight games this season, but [...]

Shaq The CuddleBug?

AUTHOR: | IN: Boston Celtics | COMMENTS: None Yet

Yet another cold, dark day in New England. I try to talk to Patriots fans and they just keep repeating “only a few more weeks until pitchers and catchers report” over and over again. So, to help New Englanders cope with yet another epic collapse, we found this interesting/awesome clip from last week’s game against the Charlotte Bobcats. Oh and I was shocked Kwame Brown was still in the league too.

And Then There Was Shaq

AUTHOR: | IN: Celtics | COMMENTS: None Yet

I watched last night’s game and saw the Pistons have their way with a lack luster Celtics team for three and a half quarters. In a game that seemed like nobody wanted to win, I kept thinking, here we go again. I have seen this happen too many times. The Celtics of the past would either lead for 40 minutes and then lose or come out of the gate sluggish and lose to a lesser team. That was until Shaq took the team on his back and willed the team to victory. Watching Shaq take over the game was amazing, [...]

Jermaine O’Neal Will Forgo Surgery

AUTHOR: | IN: Boston Celtics | COMMENTS: None Yet

Jermaine O’Neal met with team officials last night and has decided to put off surgery on his injured knee. Said team president Danny Ainge: “This is a good option, I think he feels like if he gets himself in better shape, and [gets] the strength, then he’ll be ready to give us an effort that we haven’t seen this year out of him.’’ The move makes sense, O’Neal is not dealing with any ligament or cartilage damage and the surgery was defined as a “cleaning out process” by Ainge. With that being said, putting it off until after the season [...]
