Tonight’s Celtics Wizards matchup will feature two former Kentucky guards squaring off against each other. On paper, the Celtics should roll over the Wizards, however, strange things can and will happen in the NBA on a nightly basis. The Celtics and Wizards are both coming off a Friday night game and are looking to make a statement on Saturday night. Kind of a random video featuring a strange collection of NBA players talking about Paul Pierce and his bag of tricks.

Delonte West has been cleared to resume basketball related activated without the use of a brace on his injured right wrist. West is still 2-3 weeks away at best from being able to participate in team practices and may need an additional 1-2 weeks of full practice before returning to game action. West had originally set a timetable to return after the NBA All Star game and is on pace to do so assuming there are no major setbacks. Once back, West will battle Nate Robinson and Marquis Daniels for playing time behind Rajon Rondo and Ray Allen.

Today’s random video features the awkward interaction between Nate Robinson and Paul Pierce after Pierce hit what would be the game winning shot against the New York Knicks in December. A few things that I love about this clip: 1. Paul Pierce never acknowledges Nate 2. Pierce makes no attempt to catch him when he is clearly going head first to the floor 3. Ray Allen’s face in the background 4. Nate attempts to jump a second time after getting no love on the first jump 5. Pierce’s weird shoulder shrug celebration to end the clip.

What was built up as a great matchup between two premier point guards quickly became a lopsided Celtics win. The Jazz came out of the game flat and could not keep pace with the surging Boston Celtics. Kevin Garnett led the way with a 21 points, Paul Pierce chipped in with 20 and Ray Allen brought himself within 25 three pointers of Reggie Miller’s all time NBA record. Ray Allen’s 11 points also brought him within 99 points of Larry Bird for 26th most in NBA history and 122 points behind Gary Payton for 25th all time. The next couple [...]

We were delighted with yet another Shaq moment shortly before the big fella left tonight’s game with an injury. Shaq dove into the stands on top of some fans and rewarded them with a hug. Ahhhh……
