At least that is what Stephen A. Smith is reporting. According to Smith, Wallace is waiting until after the February 24th NBA trading deadline to make his comeback with the Celtics. Said Smith to AOL Fanhouse:
“I’m here to tell you that Rasheed Wallace will come out of retirement once the trading deadlines expires in all likelihood, because he wants another shot at the Lakers, I’m telling you that’s what Rasheed told me.”
Wallace’s agent, Bill Strickland and Celtics coach Doc Rivers have denied knowing anything, but that is not all that surprising.
Rasheed Wallace has been rumored to join a number of teams. According to sources, Wallace still lives in the Boston area and has been seen in and around Boston.
