We were hoping for an epic battle of superstar point guards on Friday when Chris Paul and the Hornets came to town, but Rajon Rondo was not able to go on his severly sprained ankle. Said Rondo on Friday “I didn’t have a setback, I just couldn’t go. I tried to play one-on-one today, and I wasn’t able to do what I usually do.”
Rondo went onto mention that he could be back on Sunday, Monday or a week from now versus Chicago. Regardless, the Celtics need him back as soon as possible and cannot afford for him to comeback at less than 100%. Nate Robinson can handle the PG duties as a temporary replacement, but is not a viable long term option.
