Now the title sounds negative, and it kind of is but it kind of isn’t. We all remember last year with the debacle that was occuing in New York between Stephon Marbury and the Knicks. We are slowly approaching the NBA trade deadline today at 3pm EST. So far today there have been enough rumors to make me dizzy. As I try to get a grasp of what’s going on I also have to decide what information is reliable enough to put on the site. Graham Brunell, owner of Celtics 17, has organized a league wide live chat today that will bring us right down to the trade deadline at 4pm EST. Blogger’s and fans from teams all around the league are expected to come in and out of the chat so it should be interesting. It is currently 1:32 AM EST and NBA general managers are still hard at work. These are the times you lose sleep, or get no sleep at all, trying to improve your team. Tomorrow night the two best franchises in the league, the Celtics and Lakers, will tip off at the Staples Center. According to multiple sources the Lakers all time leading scorer, Kobe Bryant, is doubtful for the game due to nagging injuries in his left knee and ankle. This will be his fifth straight game out of the lineup. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Cavs have traded for Antawn Jamison and Sebastian Telfair. To get him, the Cavs had to send Big Z to the Wizards, along with a 1st round draft pick. The Wizards get Brian Skinner and Al Thorton, while the Clippers get Drew Gooden from the Wizards. The Wizards are expected to waive Big Z so the Cavs will be able to pick him back up in 30 days.
