Come On Ray

AUTHOR: | IN: Celtics, Opinion | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

For what has become such a likeable guy, it is hard to look down upon Ray Allen. He loves the city of Boston, wants to remain in Boston, loves the Celtics as a team not only because they are a winning franchise, but as well an organization based around class. If there is any image of a player that you want people to remember your team as, it is Ray Allen. He does many fundraising events and uses the fact that he is a well paid, and a famous athlete to his advantage on his quest to help other people. [...]

Boston Celtics Confidence Meter – Daily Poll

AUTHOR: | IN: Daily Poll | COMMENTS: None Yet

Yesterdays Poll Results: Apparently the Laker trolls made the presence felt: “The Celtics “win” won’t mean anything to the team because they don’t have a chance to win.” Well, the Celtics played fairly well in yesterdays game. They showed at one point absolute dominance over the Lakers. For the majority of the game, the Celtics clearly looked like the better team. When all was said and done, though, the Celtics STILL ended up with the loss. The C’s have lost 3 in a row to 3 contenders which you can’t help but stop, and stand back to take a deep [...]

Lakers Kick Dirt in the Face of Knocked Down Celtics

AUTHOR: | IN: Celtics, Game Recaps | COMMENTS: None Yet

LAKERS 90   CELTICS 89  The Celtics came out in the start of this game and laid an egg. The Lakers jumped on them from the very beginning. At that point, I thought, “What the heck happened to this being a must win game”? Well it wasn’t helped by the fact that Paul Pierce picked up 2 quick fouls, one of which was a weak call that strung together a stretch of terrible calls on both sides. In a game in which the two teams dont like each other, you cant help but (as a fan) hope that the refs will [...]

Los Angeles Lakers @ Boston Celtics Preview

AUTHOR: | IN: Gameday Previews | COMMENTS: None Yet

Sunday, January 31st, 2010 The Jungle – Boston, MA 3:30 PM ET Tip View on: ABC I will start off by saying there will be no lack of emotion to this game. If the Celtics take the lead,  you better believe they will not stop until that lead is as high as they can get it. You won’t see any 3rd or 4th quarter collapses today. If there were 1 way to turn around the previous 2 losses this past week that were handed to the Celtics, it would be beating the Lakers at home. Not on the road, but [...]

Daily Poll – Celtics Struggle With What They’ve Got

AUTHOR: | IN: Daily Poll | COMMENTS: None Yet

Yesterdays Poll Results: “The Orlando Magic are a scary team to play come playoff time.” If you look at the Celtics on paper, your eyes would open wide and say this team has the potential to do great things. Before the season started everyone was saying that this team could go 72-10 and could end up with the best record ever. Then as the season progressed the talks were more centered around simply grabbing the top spot in the East. Now, we simply want the team to make it into the playoffs with HOPEFULLY 2 rounds of home court advantage. The [...]

How Sweep It Isn’t

AUTHOR: | IN: Game Recaps | COMMENTS: None Yet

CELTICS 91 HAWKS 100 In what I never planned on happening when the season began, the Hawks have officially swept the season series from the Celtics. The Hawks, but more specifically Joe Johnson and Jamal Crawford, completely outplayed the Celtics all night. Johnson finished with 27 and Crawford with 28. The C’s jumped out to an early lead in the first as they usually do, but in a habit they would hate to break, quickly allowed for that lead to be completely erased as they finished the first quarter behind by 1. From that point until about midway through [...]

Celtics Making It A Theme

AUTHOR: | IN: Game Recaps | COMMENTS: None Yet

CELTICS 94 MAGIC 96 What is the blue print of the Celtics opponents thus far this year? To any coach out there of any team set to face the C’s here it is- Let the Celtics get out to a huge lead, but just keep playing because eventually Boston will stop doing what they do best. Its just crazy. The team looks so good one minute, but go on one bad stretch and find themselves in another tight game. Tonight was no exception. The C’s played probably 2 great quarters of basketball, but slacked when they could have really put the [...]
