Tony Allen: The Man Proving Us All Wrong

AUTHOR: | IN: Celtics | COMMENTS: None Yet

I’m going to start out this article with a quick quote that I made on October 19th of this year. This was around the time the Celtics were looking to cut the roster to 15 and in simple terms, I wanted Tony gone. I was looking for any way possible to get the guy off the roster, I even considered cutting him for Mike Sweetney. “Face it folks, Tony Allen is a BUST. There is no way around it, he has not provided anything positive to our team in two years. Even when he was producing, it was nothing I [...]

NBA Power Rankings – Week 5

AUTHOR: | IN: Celtics, NBA News, NBA Power Rankings | COMMENTS: None Yet

It is another cold and windy night in New England, and it is also another Monday. You know what that means, it is time for our weekly NBA power rankings. This week we didn’t really have much to debate about when deciding the rankings. None of the top teams in the league really did anything to prove they were better or worse than they were last week. There are a few mix ups from what we gave you last week, but no new teams enter the top 10 this week. Here is a quick preview of what to expect in our [...]

Kobe Bryant or Lebron James on Celtics Fans Wish List This Christmas?

AUTHOR: | IN: Celtics | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

What may seem so simple as, “Celtics fans never cheer for the Lakers”, may or may not be the case this Christmas. Both the Lakers and the Cavs are heavy contenders seeking who is the better team. A Cavs win would surely give them a refreshed look in the eyes of the media as there 20-8 record may simply be a fluke. A Lakers win would be what NBA fans probably expect as they play on their home court for Christmas for the second time in as many years, and have gotten out to such a fast start. On December 25th, when the [...]

Paul Pierce Shoots Lights Out- Celtics Thump TWolves

AUTHOR: | IN: Celtics | COMMENTS: None Yet

TIMBERWOLVES 104  CELTICS 122 The Celtics jumped out in this game early and often. With great defense that led to fast break points, the C’s led at the end of one 34-19. Kendrick Perkins and Kevin Garnett combined for huge blocked shots that led to several of these break away baskets. Once they had Minnesota down in the first, there was no let up as the Celtics kept pushing it and went up 66-41 at the break. Although the score only shows a Celtics victory by 18 points, visually it was much more. Paul Pierce led the charge as he [...]

MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES @ BOSTON CELTICS Preview

AUTHOR: | IN: Celtics | COMMENTS: None Yet

@             Sunday, December 20th, 2009 TD Garden – Boston, MA 6:00 PM Tip The Timberwolves have won 2 of their last 3 games, one of which was at the Utah Jazz. They come in with a 5-22 record, but gave the Celtics a run for their money the last time the Celtics played them in Minnesota. They have beaten Utah twice, and have beaten the Denver Nuggets in Denver, so they can win against the better teams in the league. The Celtics have won 11 of their last 12 to put it positively, after coming off a 1 point [...]

Celtics Less Popular Than The Bruins?

AUTHOR: | IN: Celtics | COMMENTS: None Yet

Via Eric Ortiz of NESN: The Celtics’ 11-game win streak was snapped by the Sixers on Friday night (more proof to never turn the channel before the final buzzer sounds),  but even before the loss, the C’s were running neck and neck with the New England Revolution and Boston Blazers for headlines. Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen are the old Big Three. This winter, the Bruins, Red Sox and Patriots have taken center stage. My Popularity Ranking of Boston Sports teams: Red Sox Patriots Celtics (who are extremely close to the Patriots) Bruins Let me start this off [...]

Eddie House Missing- Huge Reward If Found

AUTHOR: | IN: Celtics | COMMENTS: None Yet

Say you are 10 years old and are at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Tons and tons of people are around. Your dad (or Doc for the sake of the story) tells you to look up at that huge Dora the Explorer balloon (which has to be your favorita ever) that is flying over head, and runs away as fast as he can without saying a single word. There you stand, much smaller than the rest of the crowd, and cant see a thing. No longer are you in a comfortable situation where you are just doing what you have always done. [...]
