It was nothing less than expected tonight as an undermanned Celtics team got completely dominated by the Phoenix Suns by the score of 116-98 . The Celtics have now lost three in a row and stand at 23-8 on the season. Entering the game the Celtics were without four of their key players (Pierce, Garnett, Daniels, and Davis). It was expected that they would get beat by a good team like they Suns, but it did not make it any easier to swallow.
Without these four key players you would think it would be tough to find a way to score. Although [...]

For pretty much the entire preview to tonights game visit: Three-Fifths Of The Celtics Starting Five Could Miss Tonights Game and that should tell you basically all you need to know.
The Suns play very well at home, and the Celtics used to play very well on the road. This part of the year will be a huge bump in the road for the C’s. Lets just hope someway, somehow, they can find a way to stay near the top of the East for the next month. [...]
In a time where us Celtics fans thought news couldn’t get any worse, it has. By now we all know that Paul Pierce would be unavailable for tonight’s game, but news broke out today that the C’s could possible hit the floor without both Kevin Garnett and Rajon Rondo. Rondo’s injury appears to be some kind of hamstring injury, while Garnetts injury is…… (I don’t want to say it)…. his knee. Okay now that I am done screaming here is the official release from Sherrod Blakely of CSNNE.com:
Celtics coach Doc Rivers just announced that Rajon Rondo (left hamstring) and Kevin [...]
As we wrap up a decade of ups and downs for the Boston Celtics I thought it would be a good time to look at some of the games that made the decade what it was. During the early part of the decade there really wasn’t much happening in the Celtics organization. There was a Paul Pierce game winner every so often, or something of that sorts, but nothing extraordinary that really got us fans saying WOW. Since the acquisition of Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett we have seen so many exciting games it is really hard to choose which [...]
Bare with me. As fans we are so fixated on the now; we need to know what is happening to the team now, and we relate it to what is going to happen in the future. The team struggles now, they will struggle in the future simply because we dont see beyond how they are playing on the court at this moment in their schedule. I know this is the case with me directly after a loss, however, I want to try and look at the positives.
We have brought up this topic before. I made the claim that KG’s injury [...]
Once the news broke that Paul Pierce would be out of the lineup for two weeks, people said that everyone on the team had to step up. Somewhere, somehow the team had to make up 18 ppg. Well that is much easier said than done. It is obvious with the way the Celtics have been playing in these past two games against the Clippers and the Warriors.
First off, Kevin Garnett is taking many shots out of the ordinary. One thing I have appreciated and liked about his time spent with the Celtics is his passing ability and unselfishness as he [...]
Not the 1 game difference in the loss column, but instead the teams they are losing to. The Celtics are killing me losing all these games to horrible competition.
TEAMS THE LAKERS HAVE LOST TO:
vs. Cleveland (24-8)
@ Phoenix (20-12)
@ Utah (17-13)
@ Denver (20-12)
vs. Houston (18-13)
vs. Dallas (22-9)
So you don’t have to do the math that is an accumulated record of 121-67
That winning percentage is equal to 3rd place in the West and 5th place in the East.
TEAMS THE CELTICS HAVE LOST TO:
@ Golden State (9-21)
@ LA Clippers (13-17)
vs. 76ers (8-22)
vs. Magic (22-8)
@ Pacers (9-20)
vs. Hawks (21-8)
vs. Phoenix (20-12)
Accumulated Record of 102-97
That [...]
Rasheed Wallace asserted himself as a player who is willing to step it up when his name is called. In the previous week, Sheed showed his ability in games against the Pacers, Magic, and Clippers. He put out his offensive skills, but most of all he came in on defense to shut down the premier center in the league in Dwight Howard. Wallace proved this week why the Celtics aquired him in the offseason- to fill in when the team is plagued by injury.

Tonight the Boston Celtics are in Oakland, California to take on the Golden State Warriors. This game is the second half of a back to back for a Paul Pierce-less Celtics squad. Last night they dropped a tough one to a L.A Clippers team and hope to rebound tonight against a weaker opponent. The Celtics currently stand at 23-6 while Golden State is at a disgraceful 8-21. In the previous meeting between the two teams in Boston the Celtics took the game by a score of 109-95.
Golden State will [...]
It is that time of the year, here in New England the snow is falling and we are about to wrap up a year and a decade in sports. From a die-hard New England sports fan, it has been a privilage to watch such great sports teams these past ten years. Between the Red Soxs, Patriots, and Celtics we have a total of six total championships, this is something many sports cities can’t say.
Since this is a Boston Celtics website, and the Celtics are my favorite sports team by far, I thought it would be interesting to put together a [...]
