Last week was our first week doing NBA power rankings and we are back at it again. There were quite a few changes in this week’s top ten teams, according to GreenBanner18 and myself. The Bucks and Blazers dropped out of the top ten this week and got replaced by two new teams. To see who these teams are and to see where your favorite team ranks click here or visit the “NBA Weekly Power Rankings” tab at the top of the page. Also make sure to check out our player of the week here. For now here are some [...]

If you have watched a nationally televised NBA game in the past two to three years then you know that the National Basketball Association is “Where Amazing Happens”. If you have followed the Boston Celtics the past two years then you have probably heard about a significant knee injury to a guy named Kevin Garnett. Well, this past offseason KG had knee surgery and ever since the talk about his knee won’t stop.
I am not going to go on and say KG is 100% healthy, nobody that has played more than a year in the NBA is 100% healthy. What I [...]
The talk was a few games into the season, is currently, and will be for the remainder of the year about what the minutes of the Big 3 are. I brought it up in a Ginos Jungle post only 3 games into the season titled ”No Issue With Big 3 Minutes“ when there was question about why certain players such as Ray Allen were still in games in which we were up by a decent amount. Seeing how we are 1/5 of the way through the season (the season is going by very fast) I decided to revisit the issue and see where we are. Afterall, [...]
Kevin Garnett recieved the Player Of the Week award from us this week. KG has busted it since coming back from injury and appears to finally be settling into the flow of things. Garnett’s aggravation with what he could and could not do is slowly being replaced by is excitement and love for the game. Even with that being said, you may question why we chose him over anyone else on the club. For that answer, we explain what Garnett did this week that was so special on the Player of The Week page.

After playing close to a full game of “Celtics Basketball” against the Raptors Friday night the Celtics headed into Miami tonight hoping to add to the win column. This game was the first game of a four game road trip for the C’s and they really needed to grab a win to keep the train rolling for the rest of the road trip. The Celtics survived the Heat’s attempts to steal a victory and took the win 92-85.
The Celtics first quarter tonight against the Heat was an exact replica of what we saw in the first quarter against Toronto. The [...]

American Airlines Arena – Miami, FL
6:00 PM Tip
Tonight the Celtics will start out their road trip with a game in Miami. The Heat are 9-6 but are only 2-4 in their last 6 games. One of those wins, however, came against the Orlando Magic in Orlando. The Celtics are 12-4 aftering winning 3 straight, and are looking to keep pace with the Magic and Hawks.
The Heat have a very intersting lineup that is scrappy, but gets the job done. The Heats primary weapon is of course Dwayne Wade, although he has a decent supporting cast around him. [...]
After playing a somewhat successful career in a Boston Celtics uniform Antoine Walker has only gone down hill since. Following his play in Boston he played in Dallas, Miami, Atlanta, and Minnesota but was never more than a bench player. Since having his contract bought out by the Memphis Grizzlies nothing positive has come out of Antoine. He has recently been in trouble for drunk driving and gambling debts that total close to one million dollars. Today more negative news came out about Antoine.
According to the Chicago Tribune apartment buildings managed by two of Walker’s companies, Walker Ventures LLC and AW Realty LLC, failed to [...]
Ray Allen’s Rough Saturday
After having one of his best games of the year Friday night Ray Allen has had a very rough, and eventful, Friday night and Saturday. It all started out around 2pm today when the Boston Globe reported that Ray’s son, Walker Allen, was hospitalized. As a result of this Ray missed out on today’s practice to be with his son.
Walker Allen was diagnosed with diabetes during the 2007-2008 finals and has suffered from it ever since. At first it was unknown whether Ray would make the trip to Miami or not, after all family is more important than a game. The Boston [...]
Last night the Maine Red Claws, the Boston Celtics D-League affiliate, opened up their inaugural regular season with a game against the Sioux Falls Skyforce. Despite jumping out to a early eleven point lead the Red Claws eventually fell to the Skyforce by the score of 112-95. I was able to watch the game on NBA.com during breaks in the Celtics and Raptors game. I can not give you much opinoinated info from the game play that I actually got to watch, but I will try to just run down some important facts from the game.
Billy Thomas, the Red Claws first pick [...]
So far this year NBA referees are sure getting their publicity, stories about them have been floating all around the NBA for about a month or so. It all started with the replacement refs, then the Tim Donaghy scandal, and then of course your normal criticism about certain calls. Following last night’s game Celtics center Rasheed Wallace had a few things to say about a certain call during the game against the Raptors.
The call in question happened 1:35 seconds into the second quarter, when Rasheed was whistled for a technical foul after being called for a charge. Referee Ed Malloy was [...]
